Revisiting ISB

I know the post is little delayed, but better late than never.
I was excited about being back at ISB, first time after graduating. The funny thing was that I was booked for the entire day in 6111, where I had done all my case preps - a room that I had booked for 2 months from 9:30 PM to 2:00 AM (yes you read that right). Unfortunately, had to take an early morning flight, which needless to say I am getting sick of. Still, the feeling of being there was overwhelming.

To my utter surprise, the security guys at the main gate recognized me - cant explain in words how good it made me feel. Small things like this do matter.
However, the feeling once I was at Atrium was mixed. First of all, I could see hardly anyone at Atrium - not surprising though given it was only 8ish in the morning. Must admit that I had never been to Atrium so early in the  morning during my yearlong stay at ISB. When I could finally see some people around, somehow I felt like a stranger. I knew no one around, everyone busy in their own small world. Not what I had been used to - everywhere we went at whatever time, we could find some people we knew, be it Atrium at 5 AM, Idlis at Wipro at 4 AM, Kareili, Grasshopper, GVK One or Talkie Town. I realized, ISB had moved on.

Shashank had told me to pay homage to M's Corner - where we held most of our parties. So it was there on my mind all the while. However, the packed schedule made it impossible for me to do anything other than Resume Reviews and Case Preps. It was weird - not a very long while ago I was sitting on the other side of the table. Suddenly I realized - damn, life is fast!

Finally I met a few known faces - mostly acquaintances from IIT or from ITC. Unfortunately, could not spend enough time catching up. Was also pleasantly surprised to know about some people who had read my blog (yes, it does give pleasure!)

I have some unfinished business at ISB - and I have to go there again! Only time will tell when.
